Royal Vancouver Leukemia Cup Regatta
Registration is $400 per boat. Registration includes 4 tickets to BBQ after racing. Additional BBQ tickets @ $35

Fleet 1 - Final Beer Night at RVYC and LAST Wednesday of WES
Come to the big M242 table at Royal Van after the final Wed night races on September 15th. All welcome but M242 fleet one members receive a free beer.

This was a windy one last year! The last chance to race round the cans this season, it's usually a good one.

KYC Lawrance Cup
A nice relaxing race to the bell buoy and back. NOR/SIs not posted yet this year, but here's the info from 2019 (not much will change). This race has been running since 1935 or something! It also counts towards the out of bay series overall trophy.

Kits Thursday Night Racing
The last TCYC Thursday Night Shorts is on the 12th August, several M242s have been participating in the PHRF racing.
Kitsilano Yacht Club will now be adding a M242 one design start as part of their Thursday night race series starting Aug 19. For anyone looking for a more 'casual' night of racing compared to the Wed night RVYC series, check it out! Races start at 6PM, no registration required.

The EB Scramble is a go for 2021 on Saturday August 14, and boats that wish to compete should Register here:
Fleet 1 Beer Night & BBQ
The 2nd Beer Night of the Season is upon us at Kits Yacht Club after racing on Wednesday August 18. Plans are underway to also hold a BBQ that evening for a nominal cost for each hamburger, hosted by our Fleet Cook, Paul Martin, and assisted by several other Fleet volunteers. Each Member of the Fleet is entitled to a free beer at the event, and others who'd like a free beer can always join the Fleet beforehand or onsite here: https://m242fleetone.org/members-and-boats/member-boat-registration-dues, otherwise beers will cost the regular nominal amount that KYC charges.
RVYC August One Design Series
The RVYC August OD Series is a go for 2021 on Saturday August 21, and boats that wish to compete should Register here: https://www.royalvan.com/ods
9 Boats have Registered so far for the CDN Championships
The list includes:
- Alex Fox, 2-time NA's winner
- Ken Holland, 3-time runner-up in the NA's
- Michael Clements, 3-time NA's winner
- And Gord Galbraith and Bob Britten/Jose Fernandez Grandizo - new Martin 242 owners
It will be a very tough Fleet, and the expected turnout is around 20-23 boats, assuming the Border is open to maritime pleasure traffic.
