Spinnaker Clinic

This will be your only opportunity this year to learn from the best in the Bay, as we've lined up the following Coaches for the Clinic:
- Phil Cragg - 2025 NA's winner
- Troy McNamara (former Irish Senior Instructor and National Team Coach, 5 of whose sailors went on to be Olympians)
- Michael Clements
- Adrienne Mennell (spin flying and foredeck on Too Wicked)
- and Todd Pearce - 2025 NA's winner - is a 90% yes
We will have 3 boats in the water at RVYC dockside to cover off preliminary topics like optimal deck layouts, systems, pole storage options, setting the pole and crew positioning for flying the spinnaker, gybing and hoisting/ dowsing, and then we'll head out on the Bay for hands-on practicing.
This day clinic will consist of:
10 - 11:30am - Dockside instruction for everyone using a couple of boats pointed downwind. We will also discuss optimal deck layouts, systems, pole storage options, setting the pole and crew positioning for flying the spinnaker, gybing and hoisting/ dowsing.
11:30 - 12:30pm-ish - Lunch; followed by fully rigging a few boats
12:30 - 2:30pm-ish - On water practice
